So, with the failure the other day I figured it was a good idea to add a virtual santa to balance out the missing candy canes. Well, santa is working, but those candy canes are still dead. I was sorta ok with that outcome because the aethers that are behind the LEs were still working....well now the aethers are stuck.

I just can't believe how much damage freezing rain does to the show.....freezing rain the weekend before Christmas also limits the number of visitors to see the light show. Tonight there has been 1 car come by....which is a GOOD thing because no one should be out driving in this type of weather if they don't have too.....here to hoping when the temps change tomorrow and take a sharp dive back to the single digits that things fire back up.

In the meantime if you want to see just how real virtual santa looks, I made a real short video.....

....well, almost 24 hours and no power!!!!!!

That means no show tonight and a really crippled one last night. Tonight the freezing rain stops and tomorrow the wind starts. Lets hope the 300,000 people get their lights back on soon. 1/2 mile down the road they have power....just not here!

Hey Ryan,
We got our power back this morning at around 9:30.
My mega tree looks good with all the ice on it, MUCH brighter.

I just powered a single flood light from the truck AC power outlet. Tried to get a server power supply to fire but no luck at all there.

The challenge with a DVD this season is I'm up in Canada and got to the virtual santa idea WAY too late... I may just order though and if it gets here before Jan 1 it goes in the window. Wish there was a downloadable version. I'd pay $30 for instant access :)
