I'm thinking of adding some SS arches, but I'm not sure if I want to use flex strips or square nodes. I have a buddy that has a cool Firefli arch which I imagine the square nodes would look similar to. But the flex strips would be have more even node dispersal. So I have two questions in addition to your opinions:

1) Any videos of flex or square arches?

2) Anyone near OKC with a flex strip or square nodes that I could come checkout and play with?

Well, I probably won't be able to come visit, but a video is the next best thing! :D

He used flex strip in a translucent pex pipe .

it looks great  would like to see some ramps and quick fades with strip.

I will try to build some using  strings instead of strips .

1 universe of dmx and 4 srtings should look great .

cheers

I like his idea of the spokes on the arches. Any chance you could get him to post how he made the arches & spokes 7 what strips he used?

          Thanks Mike

cheers

Are those strips facing up or out? I know they are very flexible if you face them up, but could you use a single flex strip facing out to make an arch?

Taybrynn used his strips facing downward.  Several people have commented that the strips don't work well facing outward because you're going against their natural curve.  As you can tell in Taybrynn's video, they're VERY bright...I doubt that you would want them dead on or they would overpower every other element in your show.
