So much better when you can actually see the end result not just on your computer.

Looks good!

Is that LED rope light?

What length were you able to cut the rope light at? The "O" for the mouth looks like it is only 10 inches.

If you look really close at rope light, you can usually see the internal wiring. Usually there are two heavier conductors with strings of 10 to 20 lights that connect between the two. If you cut between where one internal string ends and the next one starts, you are good to go....

If you cut in the middle of one of the strings, that internal string will no longer work, but the others will be unaffected. Wasting a few might actually be a good plan as there is very little space between where one ends and the next begins, and you do need to connect power to the end, so you will wan to strip the material back a little and use something to seal the end when the connection has been made.

Yep it's led rope light.  To give you an idea the pumpkin is about 8 feet tall and 6 feet wide.  The rope was around 3 ft lengths to cut.

I did not realize it was 6 foot tall.

The smallest I can cut the LED rope light I have is 3 feet also. I was just wondering if you figured out a way to make them shorter.

Thanks.

Yeah I should of said how big it was.  Really gives you a better idea.  I had two different kinds of rope light.  One I could cut jus shy of 3 ft and the other was at every foot.
