This is the first issue that I have had with an Express. This is a new build LE that I am bench testing. When powered up it will run Lynx Express through the display show 001 for a couple of seconds then just keep cycling Lynx Express across the display repeatedly. It will not cycle through the channel leds and I cannot get the program mode to work. I have updated the firmware with a Pickit 3 getting a 6538 check sum. I have also tried an extra pic that I had and I get the same results. I have double and triple checked all of my solders. When plugged in the 5 volt and 3.3 volt leds are lit. Any help would be appreciated.

You wouldn't happen to have a picture of the controller would you? Maybe one of use might be able to see something you cannot??

Here are a couple pictures.

Well, as far as soldering goes, it looks like everything is in place. And if you tried putting in another Pic and tried updating the firmware, that would have taken care of the issue, I would think. Sorry I wasn't any help. Maybe someone else can help you out.

From my looking at the photos, it looks like some of the pins of the PIC should be re-soldered.
-
Also may want to verify that all your push buttons are in in the correct direction.
Check that the little pin is in the hole of the PCB

Have checked and all looks correct.

I have looked under lighted magnifying glass. All pins are soldered and not touching.

Looks like you did not get good flow on transformer side power plug or fuse clips. Other fuse clips look they they need some more heat as well. Not sure if this is the cause of your current issue.
Also check reset switch center pins. They look a little odd to me in the pic.

Unless it is just the picture, I don't see a pin or solder on one of the switches. See attached.

I will touch up all solder joints tonight, but I swear everything is soldered, maybe not pretty, but soldered. Here is a video of how it is reacting. I make a mistake on the mode switch, but watch to the end.

I'm pretty sure there is nothing on the panavise that is touching, but for arguement sake, take the board out of the holder, place on a non metal surface, and see if that makes a difference. I have the same holder and don't think anything touches, but to be on the safe side....

Thanks for the advise. I have done that and same results. Nothing is touching and I use it to test all of my LEs. I have built 10 now with no problems. This is the first problem that I have had. The main fuse comes the close to touching, but have not had sparks fly yet. ;D

Check the solder joints pointed out and if you do not get anywhere then pm me and setup some teamspeak time to get it fixed.
