My first show is up and.... running

Need to do a few tweaks in intensities and some fades before opening day Thursday  

Firstly I want to thank knguyen916 for hooking me up with some equipment and guiding me through the whole first year process. I had a little communication problems with Vixen (at least I think that was the problem) and KeithTarpley gave me some 1 on 1 time in teamspeak. Without them and the advice and help from the rest of you guys I would have nothing.

Lessons learned,

* Never point a coro mini-tree loaded with dome LED lights at someone you don't intend to blind (I have 6). I need to change their intensity down a LOT!
* Sometimes less is more
* When you only have 16 channels don't use 6 on linear bushes and then another 6 on linear mini trees in front of those bushes. I wish I would have done some arches or something else


Oh well, next year will be bigger and better.

Countless hours sequencing.

Ill do my best at pictures and maybe a video once I fine tune the intensities of the coro mini trees. I kid you not that if I dont they will destroy something...perhaps burn a hole in the neighbors house or cause 3 or 4 accidents a night?

Would you believe that my show computer crashed... I think somehow the video card died as the monitor froze then would not come on again when I restart. After an hour troubleshooting I reverted to building another one and used the same harddrive as the other and got back up running and about 90 minuets behind track. Then I had to go in and lower the intensity of all my mini trees for all my sequences. Long story short I just finished and will have to film tomorrow on opening day.

Sounds like "Fun"

Last month my server hard drive died. At least it was only the OS drive and not my data drives. The good part is now I have a updated OS for my server and it seems faster (wishful thinking??). I now have a data backup of the OS drive and my virtualboxes one which is my "show" computer.

No pressure, its all fun and games.

I have the video but the quality is poor to say the best. Once I get the chance I will convert it from the dumb Panasonic format to something usable and get is uploaded as soon as I can.
