Lynx Dumb String Controller with relays

OK I thinking outside the box..
I am looking to Controlled my strobes

This will work provided that you put a diode in reverse polarity accross each of the relays coils and that if possible, you remove the light curve from each of these channels in the software.  You could possibly get by without removing the light curve but then you have to make sure that these channels are ALWAYS full on (255) or full off (0) and nothig in the middle.  Also remember that this controller is controlling the grounds when detrmining the polarity of the coil diodes.

Your coils will never energize in that configuration, remember the dsc is switching ground

Reverse the diodes

to be clear ... the drawing in reply#2 is now correct, per last edit 6:59 AM ...
at 4:58 AM when I wrote to reverse them they were backwards

just want to avoid confusion if someone reads the posts in sequence and doesn't realize the drawing was updated

if you do a google search on flyback diodes, you will find some good info on sizing of the diode and the impacts on release timing of the relay in case that is a concern for you

You can buy the relays with the proper diode already inside/part of the relay. This is what the drawing actually shows.
