SS Setup/Running Problems

The only time I get symptoms like yours is when I forget to take the programming jumper off the SSC after running the SS utilility to set the address, and other parameters.  Be sure to follow RJs video instructions completely.

The pic on the hub is not a player in the pixelnet. It converts pixelnet to dmx. If you have some dmx stuff, you could hook that up to see if pixelnet is getting to the hub.

Set the dmx uni to 1 on the hub and set the dmx device to start at 1. Then transmit something on the first pixelnet channel or use something like the color picker - red = 1, 4, 7..., blue = chan 2, 5, 8... , green = 3, 6, 9...

With the great suggestions from everyone I got the strings working. Unfortunately I did 3-4 things at once so not sure what fixed it.

I reflowed every solder joint on the hub, reprogrammed all the pics, built a second dongle, swapped cat5 & USB cables.

So far I have programmed 3 of 5 strings. So cool to finally have blinks/flashy.
