Wiki Function and Use for hardware
« on: May 03, 2012, »
Hi Folks,

I added a standard format and basic info to just about everyone piece of Lynx Hardware Function and Use page. This is just a starting point and I am hoping people will add more information to each one as needed.

I hope it helps and I truly hope the members add information to it.

Thanks

Thanks for adding this element Rick.

How does one "add" information though?

Thanks to everyone

All members can add info to  any wiki page (except for the main page - do to a not so nice spammer)

Just login/create account just like your DLA forum login
Go to a page you want to add to and click on the edit button at the top
or if its a large page (example Equipment Page) and click on the section edit button

Its mostly text but it does have some formatting standards and some html

Good job Rick.  This should really help the newbies.

Sean - good point about DMX and PixelNet/SmartStrings.  I am discussing DMX and PixelNet at the Colo Mini on Saturday and I will be sure to cover it.

Sorry I don't understand your request. RJ's smart strings are pixelnet only devices.
The diagrams showing the USB and EtherDongle have DMX output after the Active SS Hub
Now what is missing is a EtherDongle with DMX firmware using a combiner and 4 DMX universes
