I have access to a number of well pump control enclosures that I believe I could repurpose into water resistent SSR4 enclosures. I do not have boards (yet - fingers crossed for a COOP this year) but I want my well guy to start saving burned out units for the cases for me if it will work. What are the dimensions of a finished SSR4 width height and depth. I think they are around 3x3x2 (with heat sync??) which would make the pump control box perfect (and FREE!!). Thanks for the help. Hi Capt
I measured 7.2cm x 7.9cm
Cheers

Sorry I missed the height I see about 2.5cm but that is tight I would give it more room.

Thanks Rick,

Why go there Capt???

That is going to be tight at best
2 7/8 by 3 1/8 plus wires
a little tight it would seem

The well pump control box is about 4 1/2" inches wide by about 7" and around 4" deep so it sounds like it WILL work. :)
If you are in a rural area, you might contact your local well guy as they replace these things ALL the time and end up throwing them out. My guy gets a whole new control box and if a customer's is bad, he swaps out the lid (that contains the electronics like relay and start cap, etc.) so he ends up with old lids and new boxes. I am using the 1/2 to 1 horse pump enclosure (the smaller one).
Hope this helps.
