Title: is a 150 ohm 1/2 watt replacement ok?
Post by: jramirex on December 03, 2011,
Are the 150 ohm 1/2W 5% Carbon Film Resistor from Radioshack a good replacement for the 150 ohm 1/4W 5% Carbon Film Resistor from mouser?
I only need 8 so the total would be cheaper than buying from Mouser+shipping.

Thank you.

Greetings,,,

That should be fine.  Going up in wattage just means a little bigger component, usually.

Yea 1/2 watt ones will be bigger just bent the lead right at the end of the resistor and they will fit fine.
