Hmmmm I haven't received an email yet. I hope they don't say that since I bought it on 8/14 that I expired 2 days ago.

Me too.

Missed mine by one day - key was issued 8/15/11
If the 2.5 would have been released as 1st stated I would have been under my year....

Shoot! No email on my side either...... :(

Got my update as well. Although I would gladly pay $50 simply for the feature of playback rates less than 1x, let alone the hundreds of other fixes, improvements, and new features. Looks very promising so far!
-
Got my email too....looking forward to it helping with some of the issues I've been having getting my halloween stuff done.
-
I did some very basic testing on the new version yesterday. Install was a breeze. It played back my earlier version sequences with no issue. The playback in the sequencer on the more complex sequences I have is now much smoother (it used to be jerky). Will test the new scheduler over the weekend to see if it's fixed.

"Macro" effects are off the hook. I have been toying with the color slider and I am extremely impressed. Great tool for my window frames and house outline.
-
Just played back a v2.0 file on the trial version of v2.5 and it is a BEAST!!!!!
-
i bought mine in november of 11 and haven't gotten an email.
-
Im getting the impression that 1.8 > 2.0 upgrade dont qualify, as I bet the service term started from the 1.8 purchase date.....

What do you mean a beast. Takes up a lot a pc resources or is a 'beast' a good thing. :)

I didn't get my email until a few hours ago. I was a bit nervous as I had upgraded to 2.0 on 8/19/11.

Beast is a good thing, playback is powerful and robust!!!

Yeah, I'm on list of those still waiting for the free upgrade notice. I definitely qualify. I sent a note to the LSP support email address too, but have not heard a thing.

I never got my email yet. The macros are very very powerfu.
-
I did not get an email.
I sent an email with my original key and name and the next day I received a response and a new 2.5 key. My last upgrade happened within the allowable window, and 2.5 was free for me.
The moral: asap you should try to initiate your 3.5 upgrade -- if you wait too long and try later, you might end up past the free upgrade window.
-
I sent my request to: LightShow Pro Sales <sales@lightshowpro.com>
-
Try retail@lightshowpro.com instead, that is where mine came from...

mine came from retail@lightshowpro also.

You should be able to email them and get your upgrade for free.
-
I e-mailed them and got my key today! Here is a copy of the e-mail I got from Minleon before getting the key.
Hi Ed - yes, you are entitled to a free upgrade. Not sure why it was not
automatically sent, but we will send shortly. THX Dean of Minleon.
-
I got mine also today, wheh!
-
You should not have to purchase the update. I know others who bought in Nov 2011 that did get the update. I also bought mine in January 2012 and did get the update. I believe the upgrade coverage was one year. If you didn't get the email you mail want to send an email like others have stated in this thread.

Just rcvd my upgrade email after prompting them about it. I believe my v2.0 date was 8/15/11.
-
I bought version 2.0 7/9/2012 and haven't received mine yet. I just emailed them. Thanks for the address. You would think after a month I would be on the first list.
-
Last night i I did as Steve Gase did. I sent them my 2.0 key and my name. I had my 2.5 key before noon today.
Thanks Steve for a good idea.

YW.... :)

I sent them my info and i am now running v2.5. The program seems to run much smoother, and the schedular is much improved. So does David now own any right or able to work on the software now since this company owns it now?
-
I got my new key the other day and installed it to try it out. Just opened it to test the sequencer, seems to be a lot more efficient. I didn't do all that much with it. I did notice they have a Lynx Etherdongle wizard to add all the different universes for you. That was nice. Now just need to get my Etherdongle working and really test it out.

David is still there and not getting much sleep according to emails he has been sending me about an issue I have been having with the etherdongle and smartstrings.

if you are having problems getting a new key use the address provided in this thread. I got my new key less than 24 hours from my email.

When you do use the Etherdongle wizard, make sure you change the size columns to 512 as it instead gives you a running total of channels and not having 512 as the size for each universe will prevent you from getting output. This is the case for both the sequencer and the scheduler. George

Thanks, I hadn't noticed that.

I'm seeing an issue with the Scheduler where it playbacks with light output to begin with, then as it moves to the next sequence in the playlist, the audio will play, but the lights will not come on. I'm using LSP connected via a Router ->Etherdongle->Active Hub->SSC->LED Flexstrips
I've logged an issue with the LSP developers and I believe they are working on a fix. What's the issue you are seeing?
