Active Hub Battery Box Mount

I have been contemplating how to get my active hub off the ground. I need an active hub in my yard to avoid running really long cat5 cables. However, I am in the Pacific Northwest an we get a TON of rain an I am far enough north to get a decent amount if snow. Anyone have a suggestion for getting my battery box off the ground?

just build a platform as tall as you think you need it out of some plywood. or drive 4 pieces of pvc in the ground on all 4 corners of your battery box and screw the battery box to the pvc. no worries of painting and the wood rotting over time. just a thought

Unless your yard floods why would you need to elevate the box?

I more worry about the piling up of snow on top of the box as it is near a sidewalk that does get shoveled

Do like the fire dept does for hydrants that get buried and put a tall painted pole next to your box and paint it like a candy can.

my battery box were under a couple feet of snow last year, and they still didn't leak water into them.

the only things i had to do were cover up the top vent holes in the lid

covered over top and bottom with black elec tape, then coated over that with black plasti dip

+1 Mine survived the same on the ground...  Hot glue for the vents on mine.

I used silicone caulk on my vent holes and they put a little black paint on the caulk after it dried.  On sits on my porch and get a little wet, but the other sits in the yard next to the pole on my pixel tree.  No problems on the porch for two years and in the yard last year.
