Hello my name is Mike and I am addicted to coops:)

I love ordering parts.
I love receiving parts.
I yearn for the smell of solder burning as I put the parts together.
I love it when a plan comes together and the parts actually do something when I am done assembling them!

I realized I had a problem when I started thinking about ordering things in COOP's that I have no intention of using in my blinky blinky display 

Anyone else want to share their addiction story?

Is R.J. an enabler?  I think so and I am glad!

yeah I can't wait until my parts come in.

I think of it this way, this is my hobby
I don't drink I don't smoke I don't Party
I just think about Christmas and blinky all the time.

and sense I don't spend any money on other things I can afford this blinky hobby

I think its a healthy addiction and certainly for a good cause/reason.

My Dad remarked in an email yesterday: "talking about Christmas in May? ... I LOVE IT !" ...

It is definately an addiction!  I was out testing some new controllers / wireless stuff in my front yard a few nights ago - should have heard the comments from the neighbors!

I don't know if it's an addiction I have, but rather than hearing voices in my head when I'm trying to fall asleep, I've been hearing repeating loops of Christmas songs the past few nights.  I guess that's a common symptom when a person does sequencing before going to bed.
