I use one similar to that. Works great.
I went to a flea market looking for one, after seeing the prices of new ones.
I was able to pick it up for $3.00.

I use one like that. I got it at Harbor Freight for under $10.

I use something similar mostly for the light, but also to check for bridges and part numbers.

I use a lamp like that all the time when soldering.  It is especially good for those of us with eyes over 40 years old.

I use one for the light and when unsoldering something it's easier to see it very close up. You can also inspect very fine traces for any defects as well.

I bought the magnifying visor with the lights on both sides. I can't solder without it.
I also bought a white lab jacket and a wiry white haired wig to complete my mad scientist look as I work.

I use an optivisor.  google it.  I've had it since I started working on model railroad engines years ago.  I also have a light like the one that is shown in the first post, but my current table does not want to support it well.  I like the one that taybrynn posted,  I would buy that one in a heartbeat if I was looking for a new one.
