triacs
« on: November 11, 2012, »
hello,

I am needing about 16 or so triacs to do repairs on my LE's, i really do not want to pay mouser 12.00 for shipping on such a small part. Does any one know where if i can get these at rat shack or does any one have some extras i could buy and the shipping would be cheaper?

Thank you

Mouser also has a $5.00 shipping option which is about the same as you would have to pay for anyone in here to use a flat rate box.  You might also want to order a few other spare parts s well.

I always request the cheapest shipping option from mouser and everything still shows up in a couple of days.

My last order was $13.98 and $4.75 priority mail shipping.  Mousers shipping estimator stinks, but if the parts are in stock, you should have them fairly quickly

Unless you have a local electronics supply house, you will almost always save money by mail ordering when you need more than a couple piece parts.

Make sure you have ample backup parts.  I always make sure I have 1 backup of everything.  My show isn't even running and I had to replace an Express.  Once it's up I'll figure out whats wrong and move on.  When you get triacs, get a few network connectors, optos, rs485 chips etc.
