I am looking to purchase a USB DMX Dongle... I like the Entec DMX Pro version, but prices are crazy.

I see those, and I can probably solder, but I am no wiz when it comes to the components...

If you can solder the construction is nearly fail proof. There are great detailed step by step instructions on the wiki for how to build it and exactly what parts to buy.
