Pixelnet 16 Port Passive Hub use question
« on: April 17, 2012, »
If I was not using the DMX output of an Active Hub could I replace it with the Pixelnet 16 Port Passive Hub?

yes

the passive hub is just like the active hub without the dmx parts. Also there is a limit on use/distance of the pixelnet output port.

You could feed your pixelnet into a passive hub then into an active hub for extended distance then.

Does the Pixelnet 16 Port Passive Hub allow for selection of which pixelnet universe to use? I am assuming so.

The 16 port passive hub has all of the capabilities of the active hub as far as Pixelnet goes including the ability to daisy chain them with other active and passive hubs.  They also spport all 4 universes and can select between them.
