Title: Is the reset switch really necessary?
Post by: Jeffl on August 16, 2010,
I'm curious how many times during a six week show period that a Lynx controller will need to be reset.  I'm used to powering up controllers in November and not powering them down until the season ends.

My hope is this will be the same case with the Lynx controllers.  I'm thinking if this is needed it will be easier to throw the breaker at the power panel off and on.

Hi Jeff,

Last year all of my lynx gear was powered up before Thanksgiving till Jan 6th, never turned off. Not once was there any problems with the hardware. The reset was added for convenience with the wireless board during setup / testing.

hope that helps with your concerns

What Rick said.  It is very cool while testing so you don't have to walk back to the breaker panel, then walk back to your box.  You can reset and watch the startup test while you are standing right at your box.

I don't think I reset mine last year once they were out in the yard.

Thanks for the confirmation.  This was what I was hoping to hear.  I'm reading the wireless manual now.

I only had to reset mine after some GFCI trips.
