a smart string controller case is less expensive to get the materials than to buy one and have it shipped

the 10ft pipe is about $3, and the caps are less than 50 cents each.

all you need are a hack saw, and a drill

Don't think there ever was such an case ever designed for sale since the pipe is sooo cheap. Remember this is DIY.  :)
