Maybe I missed something, but does S3 do software DMX? Otherwise, wouldn't you need the iDMX dongle in addition to the usb-485 adapter?

You missed! Yes S3 supports DMX. It even supports the Lynx Dongle!

First question. What version of the software do you own? I think it has to be advanced for this to work.
If it's advanced please to this.
Stop LOR control Panel
Plug in USB485B adapter
Setup the LOR network first. It should be comm somthing.
Shutdown Sequence editor.
Start Sequence editor
Setup the adapter as a DMX universe as you have it
Shutdown Sequence editor
Start Sequence editor
Verify you have a LOR network and a DMX universe
Start LOR Control Panel
Until we can get the LORCommListener to work nothing else matters.
Let me know how this works.

Thanks Jeff, I had to go out of town today. Soon as I get back home ( around ten days), I will try and let you know. Thanks very much!
BTW, I do have the Advance license.

Sorry Jeff! I had to leave the adapter at home to run my show. I wish I had it with me! Thankfully I have some express kits with me to solder! Working on next years display and I have lots of soldering to do, time is running out!!

Update! So I get to my hotel and turn on my laptop. What opens?
LORCommListener! When I get back home I will hook up the USB485. Thanks!
