I can't seem to get the scheduler to work. I am running Vixen and an ED. I converted all vixen sequences to XSEQ. I am communicating with the Test feature 'cause it works. I just can't get any sequences to run or the schedule to work. It says in the message box that it's working, but no output. Yes, the output to lights is checked. Maybe I don't have all the requirements? Suggestions? Thanks.

Hmm... So you have a schedule set with Today's date and a scheduled start time. The log shows that it started to play a sequence but you are not getting any output? Is that correct?
If you select a sequence in a playlist and say run item does that work?

On the very first screen / tab (Setup), it says "All sequences and media files must be in this directory" and then shows the directory below.
Please verify that that directory is correct and that your files (exactly as named) are in the directory (being in a folder in that directory does not count).
That is the most common failure cause.
Second is probably Music file format. What format (WAV, MP3, etc. are your music files?)
A Screen Shot of your Setup screen might help.

As soon as I get home I will answer all of the questions..how do you take a screen shot?

There are utilities for it, but I just do an "Alt-Print Screen" (hold down the Alt key while tapping the Print Screen keyboard button).
Then, paste into a Graphic program like Paint (I prefer IrfanView) and save as a JPG.
Using the Alt key limits the capture to just the active window. Without using Alt, you get EVERYTHING on the screen.
here is my xlights screen shot

Here is a screenshot.
They are all mp3 files.

I don't know for sure that its a problem, but your show directory path names might need some work.
Using periods in folder names (Vixen 2.1.1.0) can confuse some subroutines.
And you used it twice!

OK. Changed to a simpler directory. Was able to get the test feature. Got a sequence to play. Tried to run whole profile and it got 30 sec's in and froze. Paused maybe a minute, started again and froze. When I manually run Vixen it runs flawlessly, just won't start on it's own. Hopefully I can get to the bottom of this Xlights thing. Thanks for the input so far.

I would change your network setup.
1 to 136 might be the problem
Change it to 1 to 512

OK, I will try and post later tonight. Thanks for any input.

I would also make sure there is nothing else running in the background just to make sure there is no competition for the com ports.

Update. Ok I put this away for a while because the Vixen scheduler has been working. I still like the features Xlights offers so I gave it another fresh look with the new release. I communicate fine, test works perfectly showing the exact channel I tell it to. I put together a show folder and converted all sequences to xseq. files and put them along with my profile and mp3's in the vixen sequence folder.
When I play the sequences individually they start the music, but the channels don't match outside in the yard. It is very random which has me curious to what is going on. Did I miss a step?
Thanks.

are you using custom channel orders in vixen?

No, i've never messed with that feature. Weird?
