Smart string hub case

Tonight I worked on placing my two SSC hubs and power supply into a marine battery case.  Attached is a photo of what it looks like.  I hope there is enough room for all cat5 connectors coming out.

How many SSC do you plan to attach to the hubs?

1 PixelNet + 16 SCC + 1 DMX cable = 18 cat5.

Why 2 hubs then?

Are you connecting a both hubs to a single power supply?  (I could see 2 hubs for 16 SSCs if they drew more power than a single supply could offer.  ...so I'm confused.

2 SSC hubs needed because of the high channel count.  Each flex string is 360 pixels.  The hubs are sharing the same PSU and am hoping I have enough power.  If not, I will break them out.

Ok, got it.  You have 120 "pixels" per string.  Each pixel is a "flex module" with 3 rgb leds.  So you control 3 rgb leds as a pixel.

16 strings X 120 pixels X 3 channels = 5760 which exceeds the 4096 max per hub.  so you need to spread across 2 hubs.
