SS flex resistance to UV
« on: November 21, 2011, »
does anyone know how resistant to UV (from the sun) the flex SS is?  I am considering instaling them on my eves, and i would like to leave them up all year, as they would blend in with my extieror paint color, but i dont want them to degrade and fail.

Not sure but doubt it. I always plan on the stuff being out for a few months (this is a lot more than up north for 4 months as our UV levels are very high in Florida) a year and it lasting 6 years or more. You would get that in a year full time.

I've thought about leaving my Flex strips up year round, but would probably start getting letters from the homeowners assoc. One year we put up lights for Valentines day, and within a week, got a letter to take down our Christmas lights.
