Title: Hub Fuse Holders

I was asked by several members, what I was using for the fuse holder on the 4 port passive hub. I'm  using old military spec machine pin ic sockets. I won't be returning home for another day or so, but was able to find something on mouser that is close.

No promises but I think this will work the same. The pins will just have to be removed from the plastic.

I am not good at taking pictures but here they are fresh off my phone. And yes this is of a passive 16 hub.

I made it home safely. I now have a little time to unpack post and rebuild my workbench.

I have dug out some of the fuse holders, and taken pictures. I have been told that these are for the communication gear? I have no idea what they are for. They work good for 14 pin dip sockets, and fuse holders. I have also used them in place of resistors, when I plan on changing values several times.

I've had a box full of these things for years and never found a good use for them.

The pins listed in the first post are only rated at 1 amp maximum.

Missed the 1 amp spec in the pdf. That's what you get when searching mousers web site on a phone.

I am curious if an acceptable alternative has been found with the appropriate ratings. The previous link seems to have expired. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am out of the pins I used. They are a machined pin socket. The only thing I have found that is close is difficult to work with as each pin has to be cut free from the plastic. And the mouser reference is unclear as to what you are getting.

A search on ebay for "sip socket" results in several that might work.

This would result in about 150 fuse holders.

The spacing probably isn't correct so you would have to cut them in the center. They are also a little expensive.

well order 10k and they are only $ .50 ea..... :P
