Title: Nutcracker effects on a RGB tree
Post by: smeighan on May 20, 2012,
A user, Henedce , who is on doityourselfchristmas has a RGB tree setup and he ran thru nearly all the effects the nutcracker produces and filmed them on his tree.

He highlighted that text still doesn't work (i know, i know).

It is cool to see so many of the Nutcracker effects actually work as advertised. He posted the gif , the efect settings and the vimeo movie for each.

thanks

VERY NICE!!
Sean, you have done great work in helping this take place.

I see that all of the pixels are uniformly pointing outwards.  I also see that the separation between pixels is uniform.

i don't think I will be able to achieve this with my setup.
I need to put together my "shabby megapixel tree" to see how it will compare with henedce.

This video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFBiQYZLreo&feature=BFa&list=UUbcH2uH27u4rBn63opFisvQ (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFBiQYZLreo&feature=BFa&list=UUbcH2uH27u4rBn63opFisvQ)

shows what RGB leds he is using - that style is not compat with our hardware....  But I am going to try the same thing with flex strips instead.....
