Configuring Ray's 27 Channel DMX Board
« on: August 08, 2013, »
I'm having some issues and could use some help.
I picked up one of these 27 Channel DMX boards.
I made a small DMX to RJ45 adapter.  I soldered the solid orange to the left pad of J12 and the Orange/White to the middle pad.
I have the following dip switches set 10111100000, which should be DMX start address 61 from my understanding.
I am using some SSCs that are using channels 1-60 (Physical channels).

In LSP, I have the SSCs setup as channels 1-60 (Physical channels) using E1.31 DMX over Ethernet
I am able to test these just fine.
the 27 channels is using Physical channels 61-87 (Physical channels) using E1.31 DMX over Ethernet.
When I test the controller, nothing happens.

I can test the 27 channel controller by switching on the last dip switch and the lights cycle through colors as expected.
I have the 27 controller connected to the DMX out of my Active Hub.

Any ideas what I can check?
Does my adapter look correct?

Thanks,
Adrian.

issue is the solderpads (I am guessing). there is conflicting info on another holiday site that shows how to wire...I bet if you the left and right pad you'll have better luck

Thanks.
Yes.  I was off.  I moved both over 1 pad to the right.
