The strip is 6803 @5meters  per roll . there is 10 meters there .

The tube is 5 ft they come in sizes of 36' 48' 60' and 72' .

Your local glass shop will have contacts for window film installers.

I called a few and they were happy to give me the tubes free.

This is the type of stuff that comes along in a follow-up if there is interest in the original.

Good stuff!

One more question though - what material is the tube made from?

Yes, what is the tube made from? Where did the strips come from? Controllers? Cost? Links to the BOMs.

All real cool ideas!!

the tube are 3 inch .. made of frosty plastic witch make the light reflect as it is .... they are the core tube from the vynil used on window tinting roll ... they are free for the taking all you need to do is go to window tinting shop ans ask for their empty tube and voila .... I used MEK to glu them togeheter but there is also other glue that will work ... righ now i am working on making arch with them wich you see see there it is the first try so its not perfect

I've been told that there is a ten foot but they are really hard to find a tint shop that uses that wide.

That said these can be joined with the right solvent such as MEK, Chloroform and several others. Just make sure that there are no gaps at the joint for max strength.

Update:
Found this on welding Polystyrene:

- Dichloroethane: Y
- Acetone: Y
- Cyclohexanone: Y
- Dichloromethane: Y
- MEK: Y
- Methyl benzene: Y
- Tetrahydrofuran: Y

Without having any of the tubing in hand, it would seem you would have to cut slots in the bottom of the tubing and weld that back together.  That's just a huge shot in the dark without every actually touching the stuff.

Very cool.  Snagging this one as my own along with the acrylic for tune to signs.

I'm visiting a local shop too.  Now I'm only missing an etherdongle, smart string hub and about 50 smart string controllers.  I have no blinky flashy.  Shoot, I'm fine without a coop, but there is nothing...nada...zilch.

I'm considering selling my 2 Lynx express because I'm not sure what the point of having "dumb" lights are.
