Ray Wu going public?
« on: May 06, 2014, »
OK...not really Ray, but the store he sells online with is. Not sure if anyone caught this on CNN today. I sure hope this doesn't add to any overhead in the costs for Ray.

My boss was in Japan last week and it was a large topic in the news.

Realize Alibaba a huge conglomerate..its not just a collection of Ray Wu-type e-commerce stores. Aliexpress (the arm Ray sells under) is one piece of the Alibaba group. Ray is more like a McDonald's franchisee, and now McDonald's (Alibaba) themselves are going public. I would not expect this to directly cause an increase in his prices.

Maybe it will give him access to shipping options and purchasing he never had before then? ok...so maybe not, but as long as Ray doesn't go away that's all that matters :)
