Due to unforeseen circumstances, I need to find some awesome got-to-see info on Moosehead Lake in Maine and more specifically Grenville Maine.    Any suggestions on great places to eat (without wiping life savings) and sights to see (on Saturday, 14 June) would be greatly appreciated.     Already hooked up with tour guide to go moose sighting on Friday.

Although I expect to have fun, this trip was not my idea.

Take some strong insect repellant :(

I'll ask a friend who lives a few hours away if he has any suggestions.

Doesn't look like a lot is happening atm :)

Thanks.   Any little suggestion greatly appreciated.   Yep  all quiet on the lake at the moment.  I'll have to check back in the morning or early eve.

Hmmm, he didn't give much info for you, but here it is:

Quote
I've not been there for years. From Rockwood one can see Kineo. It was a big resort in the early 1900’s. Walden canoed thought in the 1800’s and came down the Penobscot river.
We used to fish there for 6 or 7 years.

I do not know of any super eateries but the local breakfast spot is nice.

I found this site on Kineo: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login  Worth a visit if you like that sort of stuff.

Good luck and enjoy!
