Light Curve - Martha Stewart
« on: December 28, 2010, »
Hello,

Trying to figure out a good light curve for some Martha Stewart lights I picked up at Home Depot.

We tried the default curves and the dimming just is not very good at all.

Here is some information from the product web page;

Quote
Add a festive look to your indoor or outdoor holiday celebration with the Martha Stewart Living 50-Light LED C5 Crystal Light Set Warm White. The light set features 16 ft. of lights spaced 4 in. apart to help you create a dazzling display, and the long-lasting LED lights are energy efficient to help you save on power costs.

    * Assembled Dimension: 195.60 in. W x 0.5 in. D x 1 in. H
    * 16 ft. of lights with bulbs every 4 in. for a dazzling display
    * C5 crystal lights resist flickering
    * 22-gauge wire for durability
    * Long-lasting LED lights for energy efficiency
    * Connect up to 29 sets together for a large display
    * Plugs into an outlet for easy power access
    * Can be used to create displays indoors or outdoors
    * 50 warm white lights provide an ambient glow
    * MFG Brand Name : Martha Stewart Living
    * MFG Model # : 59206
    * MFG Part # : 59206

Short of playing around with different curves I'm guessing there is no negative side to trying each of the predefined curves?

Its possible the correct light curve is not available yet.

If you want the right curve you will have to PM RJ and see about sending him a set of lights and pay for shipping back and forth.

Is there a process for determining the appropriate curve?  Would hate to bother RJ since I know he is a busy guy.

Nah

go ahead and bother him. He won't bite

besides he has a device that reads the light output and creates the curve. Then he just uploads it to the site and we all get the new curve

I plan to send some lights to RJ after the season and he requested that I wait until Feb to do so.
