smart string to control dumb strings

Ok, this might be a stupid question, but is it possible to use a smart string controller for a set of dumb strings?

It is called the dumb string controller and the first coop has completed the order cycle, but none have been delivered yet.

No they are different technology so you need the Dumb String Controller to run them.

This also might be a dumb question, but has it been set or determined which kinds of RGB or who's lights you can run with the DSC's?
Thanks

the DSC will operate 12v common anode(+) rgb lights under 4amps.
or...   you could attach 12v single color stuff, just connect all 3 positive lines together on the dumb string controller. as long as all three devices are under 4 amps.

you can kinda think of it as a 3 channel dc controller that supplies it's own 12v source (4amps max)
