Title: Triac substitute
Post by: Jeffl on February 19, 2012,
Any suggestions for a triac replacement for the Lynx Express  part # BTA06-600SRG?  I need a few replacements.  I found a number of them on Mouser an DigiKey that are 6 amp but I'm not sure of the other specs.

The    BTA06-600SWRG is very similar to the BTA06-600SRG

Same part number. The one without the W is just a mouser screw up and it does not exist in realiity.

Jeff,
Did you have a problem or just back ups?

I'm ordering some spares.  I had one triac fail, and one that showed it was leaking just a little voltage last year.  I also need a few extra parts to finish some LE's, a new donlge and new splitter.

I'm also ordering some parts as I play to learn how to program a Pic24 chip.  So far after three years I can make an LED blink by pushing a button.

My wife asked if I was ordering parts to "bake more bread" as I have a number of breadboards on my computer table, most of which don't do anything.  :)
