Matt and Sean - Major thanks for xLights and Nutcracker. Been using xLights for a few years now.

Sean, for single strand the current status is Limited. Can you expand what that means? Can we use single strand, what effects work, preview, etc

Thanks

Rick R.

If you have 3x50 strings that you will connect together on your eaves. You can use that as a target and put all effects out to it. We dont have the concept, yet, of dividing that 150 node mega string into segments and allowing separate efects on each segment.

So you will get a chase across your eaves (Use spiral effects on a single strand to get chases). You will not see separate effects for each segement of your eaves.

Windows and arches are the same. build one mega string, wrap it on arches, windows or eaves use color wash, butterfly or spirals to get the effects you desire.

Thanks Sean

One more question. Window frames setting up the # of Nodes. The left and right number, is that a total of nodes for both sides or just the number one side would use? example I have 12 nodes per side do I put in 12 or 24?

Thanks

Rick R.

it is the number on one side. so you put in 12 for top, 12 for sides, 12 for botoom. this will make a square with 12 on each side

Or, if you consider my roof outline to be a big window frame, it was 59 x 66 x 59. A total of 250 metal rectangles using 4 SSCs.
