RJ,

Could you clarify outside of the mega SS threads how initial and future smart-string purchases will work?

If I am correct I believe you stated there will be an initial coop opening any day now (pending legal paperwork) for the first round of smart-string light purchases.

I seem to recall reading or talking to you on teamspeak about follow up purchasing being direct from the manufacturer and not through coops?  Is that a correct statement?

And for any users who may read this thread and get confused my questions to RJ are only in regards to smart-string lights (or pixels) and not in regards to controllers or hubs.

Thanks,

Leif

Yes, he did say that on these forums.  In fact, some people know where you can get the smart string nodes from the manufacturer RIGHT NOW.  They will definitely be cheaper in the coop though.

I don't know if there will never be another coop for them (after this initial one which hasn't even started yet), or if the nodes are like everything else and might have coops every once-in-awhile ???  However, the nodes will definitely be able to be ordered straight from the manufacturer (just like right now), they're just more expensive that way ;)

There is lots of post and speculation on the smart string led devices at this point from lots of different people. I will be posting a detailed explianation of this:

What is different about what you can get off coop and what we will get on the coop?

Do you need to get Licensed nodes or does it really matter?

How coops will be done for the smart string led devices and why?

What all will be offered on the coop and what will the prices be?

How will I get them after the coop? Will there be more coops?

This is coming soon I have almost got everything lined up even while running the other coops.

Yes I have this update.

Lawyers work way too slow for my taste!
And
Chinese new year is a pain when your trying to get stuff setup with the Chinese!

Sorry but until I can post exact facts I am also in hold. I promise I am not the hold up.

Understand it is not a question of weither you are able to get lights.
It is weither we can do much better than that.

LOL, well that's just my luck.  I'll be away from this Sunday to the follwing Sunday.  I hope that the coop doesn't start then or at least lasts longer than  the one week I'll be gone.
