Title: Planning for COOP
Post by: TexasStingray on October 25, 2013,
In preparation for the COOP. I have a question. The Panther will work with DC Voltage from 7 - 12. As such you can possible use something you already have to power it.

So, Should I

1.) include a wall adapter in the price.
2.) Offer a 9 Volt DC wall adapter as another kit option.
3.) Do not include an adapter.

Same also for SD Card as you might already have one you want to use.

Thanks
Scott

make the adapter an option in coop

make the SD Card  an option in coop

also maybe nice to make the case optional as i would be willing to buy one for the one i purchased in beta testing

i have the first version and the second rev

just my thoughts on a coop

I would include the adapter as they are not a big ticket item anyway and buying in bulk reduces the cost even further.  It also isn't bad to have a spare because if one will fail, it will always be at the worst possible time.  I would also include the SD card, especially if like the conductor, some cards don't work with it.  Some people may have SD cards that they may want to use but if it doesn't work how does the builder know if it is the card or the Panther itself that is the issue.  I can see where people like to save money but I find it much easier to have the kit complete, especially where you know that the components all work together.  You could also make these items options but that is more work for you but if your willing .......

I'd suggest adding a wall adapter as an option.  Also, consider using an adapter that is already used with another kit... that interoperability will make it more useful if a person misplaces an adapter later. :)

My vote is for both to be options.

+1 on the case option as well.

My vote would be to make all as options if there will be no issues will general SD cards

At first I thought options, but the post about making sure it WILL all work together and eliminating a variable is a pretty nice way to go too if there are issues, it's one more item out of the way.
