This is a great video. Anyone know what type of spotlights are used in it?

I hope someone has an answer I would love to get a couple of them. FYI, I did a search on his spot lights and read were neighbors complained and that hea had to obtain a permit which permits him to use them for only 3 days in a year.

I really think its great work...I've never seen so much...look so good. Usually overdoing it looks bad but this really looks nice.

supposedly to be Platinum Beams by elation lighting.

Working on a similar effect, albeit lowered powered......and no gobos.....but using a lensed RGB on the bobcat driven servo set up......

It looks like there are multiple houses involved.  I like the display and the huge amount of work that went into it but the search lights can go in my opinion.  When I see stuff like that, it changes the display from a really high tech christmas display to a wanna be rock concert.

The airport was the first thing I was thinking too.  I'm using some lasers, so I'm in contact with the FAA to get approval.  Lasers can get you in trouble real quick.

Do something different where they don't shine up into the sky.  It hardly seems worth all the money and you get to use them 3 days out of the year (assuming that is what you get too).

Some people are just too "ba humbug."  This guy, "..has a permit to temporarily block the street in front of his home during the show and has hired 11 off-duty police officers for traffic control, paid crews to clean up litter and rented portable restrooms to address such concerns."

Short of paying his neighbors for the problems...oh and by the way it's Christmas....he cannot do much else.

The point is still simple, stay away from spot lights.   The problems will plague you.

I wonder what kind of permits he had to get.

I liked the lighting on the fence columns also.  How can you tell it was coro panels?  I just assumed it was RGB lights mounted to the top and pointed down.
