Title: RTC Error
Post by: rdebolt on November 06, 2012,
I am getting an RTC Error. I have made password, made a sequence and a show. Reinserted CF in ductor and now I am getting the error.

If you haven't connected via Ethernet and set the clock, there is no telling what time it THINKS it is in relation to your schedule.

Have you gotten the Control Panel to connect to the Conductor yet? (I had to disable my Firewall but finally connected)

Have firewall disabled. I have tried through my router (Etd worked before) and directly cabled to my computer. Funny thing is last night when I was getting a not connected message my clocks were running... now not.

Ok I found that when I reassembled after retest Etd last night I bent the power pin to Conductor. Fix that and now I have my computer time, but still says not connected.

OK too tired again! I cannot even follow step by step instructions.

The control panel will not recognize the Conductor until you have created:

1) at least one *.seq and/or *.mp3 file on the compact flash (CF) card,
2) created a password, which will create a password.dat file on the CF card,
3) create at least one show, which will create a file *.sho on the CF card, and
4) schedule a show to run, which will create a playlist.dat file on the CF card.

All four of these must be met before the control panel will see the Conductor.
