Are all Co-ops like that?
« on: January 01, 2012, »
The first thing I learned in 2012 is to check all forums before heading to the in-laws for family dinner. Man that LE order went fast. Are they all like that? When do you think the next one will be? April? Summertime? I'll start checking for new posts morning noon and night. Anyone know when the E.Dongle one will be? I'll do my best earlybird impression for that one. Happy New Year everyone!

Anymore Yes they get sold out quick. When DLA was young there were times we didn't fill a coop but with close to 3k members that is not a problem anymore

Did you subscribe to the coop forum? You will get a pm/email when new coops open up.

There will most likely will be many LE coops if last year was any indication along with the recently closed one.

I had notify on that board and wasn't notified. I just checked my profile and my email address is correct. Any ideas why I didn't get a notification? I really wanted to participate in this coop....

I did get a notify, so maybe check any spam folder you might have to see if it went there. Sometimes that happens with mass emails.

Last year I grabbed some LEs when they became available for non payment.  Bet the next etherdongle coop sells out in 10 min.

Of course you save some money but you can get boards from RJ and order parts from mouser. Kinda glad I did it that way for my first one since everything is labeled.
Sam, who is happy he flashed his etherdongle with newest firmware!

Hmmm not in my junk email either, the mystery continues.

Good idea about the PCBs and heat sinks, I'll ping RJ and see if he has any available.

Rick- Thanks for the notification info. Didnt know you could do that. I'm right on it.

zwiller- Im thinking about doing that "get just the board" thing for the first one to get the build down.

Can you buy boards and heatsinks now?

Since there is a close but still active coop for the LE and heatsink. RJ won't have any boards for sale.

As of Dec 27th, Bill was still waiting on shipping boxes and parts.

Do you subscribe by just clicking the "notify" tab once in the co-op forum?

The le coop was ridiculous. I was outside for a few hours and came in and checked out the site and there was 230, sold. Wow.
Its the most wonderful time of the year.

Just to make sure I don't miss a Coop email, I also setup a rule in my email account (ISP) to foward to my phone as a text message.

I didn't get a notification either.
Being on this site 6 times a day doesn't hurt me though, so I got in.   <fp.

Watch the payments closely for this coop ... If people don't pay in time, you can step in and pay if rj opens up the slots for non payers.  I did that twice last year, but u must look often .   The notify is the best advise to keep up on coops ...
