Title: Songs to sequence
Post by: Christmasaddict on July 03, 2013,
I am struggling to come up with a couple of new songs to sequence.  Does anyone have any suggesetions of songs that have worked well for them?

Last year i made a web page wher epeople could vote for the songs they are using in  their shows.

Gives an idea of which songs work well.

I would recommend doing songs that YOU like.  Since I have to listen to them over and over and over and over again, I like rarer more obscure songs... For instance, last year I did Brazilian Sleighbells by Ferrante and Teicher.  I also did an instrumental Brian Setzer cut that was only sold in Japan.

I'm struggling this year to find something that I like enough to add in my show.  I gave Wizards in Winter a rest last year only b/c I added lots of RGB last year and didn't have time to sequence the way I wanted.

It's just personal taste.  Have fun with it.

If my radio boss wouldn't kill me, I would share the artists and songs of our Christmas library as we do have a lot of rare big band and older stuff that people like but the other Christmas stations don't play.

+1 to what mms said --- YOU need to like the songs!

Thanks again to all who posted.  I agree that you need to like the song especially as many times as you have to hear it while sequencing.
