This is just a sample of what I'm working on. Don't know if I can swing it this year, but I do know this is where I'm heading for at least one of the sequences for 2012.
The sound is being worked on so it will be much better than the YouTube version and like I said, you only get a sample, the actual show will not be shown in it's entirety until featured.

You need to back off the privacy setting one notch so your link will work for us. Otherwise you will have to authorize each and every one that wants to see the video.

I don't know really. Some of mine are marked for matching third party content and one is blocked in some countries outside the US. YouTube states "Your video is still available worldwide. In some cases ads may appear next to your video. Please note that the video's status can change, if the policies chosen by the content owners change."
None of my videos are public, they all require me to give the link and YouTube seems to be a little more lenient and hasn't silenced the music. If they do, I know how to refute it and get it back anyway. I try not to put any words in the title or information that gives away the actual name of the music.

I know what you mean. :-\ I stopped working on this sequence about a month ago. It's very Xmas techno, however; it was inspiring in a way that drove me to find other ways to sequence and come up with ideas. What you see in the video requires a hefty green wad in the wallet for it to approach fruition. I needed something outside the box to get my head thinking of other ways to make what everyone already has; to look a little different.
It did provide the inspirations for me, but I struggle with exactly what you said about the music.

Planned on 9ft long 5ft high. I may go a little smaller, 6ft long 41 inch tall, but 9ft is the plan.

Tried to copy & paste the link and no go. Even turned off my fire wall and still can't view the video.
Now I am stumped especially since other people can see it!!

It's a difficult song to sequence, and it is very fast. If you have a lot of channels you should get some good results. I find on fast beats, you need separate lights to come on for each beat and not have the same lights go on-off-off; in the real world the lights have to actually go out before they can come back on to be effective. Just a little tip on my part.
I use at least 5 Beat Channels when I sequence. I play it very slowly to find the beat within the other beats that make up this and other songs.
I haven't even started the Mega Tree yet; it will be the easiest anyway, and I'm still figuring out how to get all this put together. In my case, it would be a heavy upfront expense to make it happen this year. I only have half the song BEATEN out and I haven't done all that I want to do in what you have seen. I figure this song, using Vixen, will take a year to complete and that includes setup and final sequencing.

Also I have been working on another version of Nutcracker...an arrangement by Matthew Pablo called Crackernut. This one seemed a little dark and could be a great arrangement for those who do Halloween and Christmas. I think it would be alright for Christmas if this is the kind of theme one is interested in.
