Risky but it works. I used refrigerator water line as standoffs for the old boxes. For the new ones I would use the water line as a standoff and 4 small screws with nuts and just drill through the case. There is little to no chance of problems with this approach as your messing with the $13 case instead of the $100 board.

not as risky as you think i put 3 screws in box and used white paint to determine location of holes by placing board in case on screw heads so paint would leave a mark on back of board
then i checked for trace interferance before i drilled any holes,
after that i made a templete the same size as a board with the holes drilled in it
i use it to predrill boards before assemble of le
i did this to preserve water tight integrity of box as we get a lot of rain in central mississippi during nov. and dec

I use hot glue on the back of any screw holes that I drill through the boxes. Most don't require as I use the screws to pilot the hole so there is no room for water to penetrate.

i think i will stick with my method
