New opportunity landed in lap today. Business sponsoring display for few years. I'm gonna need 3 more in addition to my original 2 so total of 5. Thanks
7 days until close! The OCD part of me thanks you for the updated count!!! <fp. LOL
We have 114 on order - 36 to maximum of 150. Get your membership in if you want an EtD (we are trying to get these in before the Christmas season!)
Kurt
Put me down for 1
Thank you.
You are not the only sufferer.7 days until close! The OCD part of me thanks you for the updated count!!! <fp. LOL

119.
Now it is 119!! LOLHA! Surprised it didn't sell out already!!!
Actually I am a bit surprised that we haven't reached the limit yet. I already have an EtD but I wanted one as a backup. I waited a couple of days before requesting one in this coop to allow others who didn't have one yet to get a chance. Maybe others are doing the same? I'll bet that once the Conductor comes out there will be a bunch of people looking for an EtD.
Thanks again, Kurt.
I will take 1. Newbie. How's it work?
Thanks
Jon

I'm with Night Owl - When I got the message it was going on, I told my wife to watch how quick this thing closes!! Needless to say she is still waiting <fp.
Am I too late for 1?Nope, good til 8pm!!! 9 LEFT!!!!
I just had a member back out if anyone wants in!and if you want to play with a slave you will need 2 of these units. :)
I will tell you if you are wanting to play with the Conductor you will want one of these units. Do not delay!
Send me a PM if you want in.
Kurt
Okay I have gotten all the quotes in. This is good news. Bad news is that some of the items went up in price (I hate that!). The cases are almost $.20 more than before. I also did not have all the final shipping and packaging costs in the original cost. End result. The estimate on cost is actually about 40 cents lower than actual. Hopefully this wont kill you guys. Final cost per unit is $94.41 not including shipping (which will be medium flat box rate for most everyone -- including the 5 order folks -- I think I can get all 5 in one box!). PMs to go out shortly.
Qty ordered | Subtotal | Shipping costs (US) | Total to be paid via paypal |
1 | $94.41 | $11.98 | $106.39 |
2 | $188.82 | $11.98 | $200.80 |
5 | $472.05 | $11.98 | $484.03 |
Okay,DOH!!! That would be me!!! For someone who counts so well, I sure can't ADD!!!! Sorry for making extra work for you!!!
We have started to get some payments in, thank you. All the PMs are sent out.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO PUT YOUR USERNAME FROM DLA IN THE MAIL FROM PAYPAL. I DO NOT KNOW WHO YOU ARE IN PAYPAL!
Also, MAKE SURE TO PAY FOR SHIPPING! I HAVE TWO PAYERS WHO FORGOT TO INCLUDE THE $11.98 FOR SHIPPING!!
This will help the COOP go a lot smoother if you haven't paid!
Much thanks,
Kurt

Payment sent, so now you can increase that % complete.
Thanks for doing all this.
check me off, money sent!
Sorry guys, been a busy week for me, on call rotation :(
Thanks,
tallan
All coops are well run. Some stand out for their packaging (you might even call them obsessive in their attention to detail by wrapping each set of parts as separate units).
Kurt, your communication is exceptional!
none of the EtDs come programmed. you need to assemble enough of the board to be able to do the programming.

Remember Veruca from Willy Wonka? <la..
Yea thats all i can think of right now
btw, I like your process improvement -- sending kits out in the order payed.
it rewards early payment, and is an incentive for others to consider this in future coops.
early payment benefits everyone because it allows for early ordering of parts.
thx
IMPORT NOTE - MEMBERS PLEASE READ!!
I have received a PM that the DC power adapter does not fit the board. If you have an issue with the power adapter not fitting the board, I need to know immediately. Since I have only heard this from one member so far, I don't consider it a trend and could very well be a 'one-off'.
Thanks,
Kurt
Also, Please let me know if you have any issues (missing or wrong parts, etc.) I am only human and do make mistakes.
Thanks,
Kurt
Is there a reason I'm missing why the ICSP header is angled and not straight? I have some straight units that seam like they would make programming easier.

Recieved my kit today.
Thanks for the coop.
Not sure what RJ was talking about if you are using a conductor you will not need to modify.
But I will see when I get the conductor.

I have a solution for those who are concerned about the right angle 6-pin bracket and not being able to program without removing the unit from the enclosure. You can attach an 6-pin extension to the right angle with a ribbon cable using a product such as this one: http://evilmadscience.com/productsmenu/partsmenu/586 (http://evilmadscience.com/productsmenu/partsmenu/586). All you would need is a straight 6-pin connector to complete one end of the cable and attach the other to your 90 degree bent 6 pin bracket. You could leave the cable attached somewhere in the enclosure (secure it so it does not rest on the PCB) or the more intrepid could actually find a way to mount it on the inside of the case. I, for one, will not be doing this as I find as soon as I get the unit programmed and working, I seldom need to reflash it. Just wanted to pass along as research I have found as I was asked about this particular challenge.

you have more important things to worry about. hope all is well with you and your family. We weathered the storm just fine. Our power was out about half a day which is much better than most. The biggest hassle was the large tree that decided to sleep in the road leading out from my house. Good news is that each neighbor has a nice cord of firewood for the winter now. We did just fine compared to others. The water did come up the back yard but did not make it all the way to basement walk-out, so we were okay. Life has returned to normal in our neighborhood.
