Shifting things around in my show... I have several working SSCs for sale.
Shipping is extra.
I'd prefer to sell these in larger quantities and not one or two at a time.
Send a PM.
UPDATED: changed the counts of the still available items, and removed those that are spoken for...
I have (12) SSCv1 controllers -- each are priced at $3:
__ have the cat5 pigtails cut off and only one endcap -- but I'll supply new, replacement pigtails
__ I'll include the matching 3-core male connectors to use on your light string

Question b4 I buy... for the v4 why the 4 pin input ?
-
I bet that he had corrosion issues with the standard pigtails.
-
Yep. First year'S major lesson... cat5/rj45 connections are susceptible to corrosion and shorts. Nearly all of my 50 ssc v1 had this issue.
My fixes included moving both input and output through a single end cap and replacing the rj45 pigtails with waterproof connectors... and tying the enclosure to be off the ground and wires facing downwards,.
If you want the standard pigtails, i'll include them in the deal.
-
What kind of wire did you use with the 4 pin connectors?
-
I use cat5 (twisted pair) with the rj45 end plugged into the hub, and then the 4core connector replacing the other rj45 plug.
I solder and use heat shrink tubing over individual wires and a larger heat shrink to cover the entire splice.
My 4c and 3c wiring is documented in the wiki... over a year ago.
