Ok, I had a perfectly functioning dongle but unfortunately my kids either wanted to test that dongle for waterproofing or spilled a glass of water on it. I have four spare dongles but no way to program the chips. Does anyone have a spare programmed chip or even a dongle that they are willing to part with so I can once again get this years show up and running?

Where are you located? Someone close may be able to help.

His user info show Alton, IL.

If it was not powered up (and even if it was) you should try putting it in with some rice to use as a desiccant. Electronics are surprisingly tolerable of water.
If it is dead hopefully you can find someone close to get a spare if you need it.

How about moving the pic from the water
dongle to one of the spare dongle

I second using rice. Water isn't too bad, unlike coke :/

I tried moving the pic and even the bag of rice and nothing worked. "the incident" happened about a week ago but after a week of attempting things nothing is working. Yes I am in Alton, Il (near St. Louis), I guess if nothing else I can finally replace my pic it but I thought I would check first to see if anyone had an easier solution. I have about 4 more dongle kits but obviously without a programmed pic I am dead in the water, pun totally intended.

Another example of why everyone should buy their own pickit. Who wants to be dead in the water just because they did not buy a programmer.

If you drop one in the mail Friday or Saturday I can program it for you and send it back to you.
PM me if you are interested I've done this for a few users this season so far.

I'm in Carbondale and would be glad to help out.
