Of course I can't speak for everyone, but generally DIY people create their projects for their displays. This is not always the case as we have some people who have some very nice blowmolds that fit tastefully in their displays. I'm not quite sure why but from what I've seen DIYers are usually busy building their projects while the serious blowmolders are usually at Planet Christmas.... pretty much just talking about blowmolds. To be truthful, I haven't been to planetchristmas.com for a while but last I checked they still had a following.
