Original prices paid in the CoOp:
Aether Kit                  87.00
Surface Mt Solder Kit  36.00
PCB                             8.73

Total                          131.73

This is not a bad deal.  I thought it would sell in 1 day?

I think the problem you are running into is the announcement of the Aether II. It will be brighter, won't require the SMD kit, and thus will be a lot cheaper.  But for those who can't wait, this seems like a good deal.

Unless that solder paste was kept refrigerated it has gone bad by now anyway.  The Aether II will cost much less and as said be brighter.  I would just keep it and assemble it.  If you want, you coul hold on to it and bring it dissambled to the show next year.  It could be used as a demonstration on building surface mount device and then you would get it back built and debugged.  I have three of them unbuilt  and also wasted my solder paste but I have no intention of selling them.  Even though I intend to buy a few of the new ones, the Aether I is still an excelent light and I will have plenty of useds for them.

Or you could asemble it and I bet it would sell fast that way. Many people myself included are a little intimidated trying surface mount assembly for the first time. That is why I am so excited for Aether II.

You could sell the Aether Kit to someone who had a bunch of old Aethers, wants to add more, and doesn't want to deal having different hardware for different parts of the display (i.e. order of RGB and White channels, different behaviour when turning on the white channel, consistent brightness, etc).

I'm one of those people. Unfortunately for you, I bought one from someone else already.

I am willing to split the kit up and sell the PCB and Aether kit for $100 shipped.  EDIT:I will just throw in the surface mount solder kit for free.
