I made a Holdman star!!
« on: July 13, 2010, »
I used Richard Holdman's Bethlehem Star pattern and made a star.
I used a piece of 3/4" cdx plywood, drilled all of the holes with a 13/16" spade bit and then used a large tapered drill bit to countersink the holes for the C9 retro LEDs. I painted the star the same color as our house and we are going to mount it on the front of the garage.
Tomorrow, I am going to build a smaller one with C7s for above the front porch. The video was done on my phone and is pretty poor, but I was too lazy to get out my video camera.

Great Job John

Do you need my address so you know where to send it for Winter Storage? (Nov to Jan)

Cheers

Wow, that looks awesome, I want one :).
You can send me the prototype for beta testing, I'll test it on Christmas.

I got the idea from Richard Holdman and made some minor mods.  The instructions and pattern are at You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
