It’s 3:30am, yes, the dark, early hours of the morning, I’m wandering around the house wondering why my back is screaming louder than forty jets leaving the deck of an aircraft carrier simultaneously, when I noticed the Smart String nodes were blinking around the windows. Strange. A visit to the show computer revealed it was powered off, the PixelNet dongle and DMX dongle lights were off and so was the Smart Hub we use for testing – it also feeds the Smart Hub outdoors. A custom circuit powers up the Crydom 40amp SSR’s that turn on the Expresses, the Freestyles and SSR’s, the outdoor Smart String Hub, the SSC power supplies, the wireless and the other outdoor DLA goodies - so I knew everything was properly powered off.
I was very baffled!! Stressing!! I’ve been reading the posts about folks having power gremlins, blinky phantoms and paranormal flashy’s, surely not me too!! Nooooooooo!!!!
I put on my robe (yep, I’m old enough to have a robe – and use it) and sneakers and opened the front door to see a police car traffic stop right in front of the neighbor’s house! It was the police car LED’s blinkin’, not mine!!! A grin crept across my face.
