where do you guys place your antenna?
after building my 1/4 wave ground plane antenna, i realise is a tad big!!! lol
-
I have a FM DX antenna mounted at the peek of my house (about 20') on a piece of PVC pipes that's about 3' tall. Works like a charm.
-
My antenna is inside the house leaning in a corner of front room.
-
inside sitting on a table near a window
-
Alongside the side of the house, behind a tree.
-
Mine fits perfectly in a window with an arch right next to the computer it is connected too. I wedge it in there behind the blinds and get clear signal to the end of my street, about 1/4 mile away.
-
Right now mine is sitting / mounted to a wall in the dining room behind a plant and heating duct. Seems to work that way. Though distance is a little better in one direction than the other.
-
I mount mine on the gutter in front of the house. It is magnetic which helps a lot

I too have arched windows on the front of my house. Because of the arches, the blinds do not cover the top of the windows. Mine is sitting on top of the blinds with the antenna hanging straight down. You can hear it clearly throughout my neighborhood.
-
Mine is in my bedroom still coiled up and still transmits about 3 blocks.
-
Mine was sitting on top of the computer that was on a card table in the basement. I didn't like losing reception when turning around in my cul-de-sac, so it now rests 2 feet higher, on top of a spare TV (still in the basement).

Mines connected to the back of my transmitter. I get about a half block of clear transmission. Of course I can hook up my true match antenna and transmit about a half mile but they can't see my house that far away. ;D

Then your display is obviously way to small ;D
