lost my mega tree in the wind today. i thought i learned from my first year(same thing) but i guess not. didn't have any issues last year and it was just as windy at times. SO TO ALL YOU NEW GUYS, MAKE SURE YOU TIE IT DOWN VERY WELL. IF YOU THINK IT'S OVERKILL, IT'S PROBABLY JUST RIGHT! we spend way too much time and money on this stuff to have mother nature wipe it out in a matter of a couple of hours. not too mention my wife is having surgery tomorrow so my next 4 or 5 days will be sitting in the house making sure she has what she needs so i'll be lucky to get my tree back up in time for this weekends scheduled show start. i hope every one else makes it threw the day with out problems.

thanks rick, she is definitely more important than the tree. my time will still be spent with her. i'll just do my sequencing on my laptop like I had already planned. always time to fix the tree.

After losing my mega tree 3 times in 3 years I built a JUMP pole as designed by Walter Monkman. Best thing I ever did for my mega tree. See the design at http://www.magicchristmas.org/monkhouse-jump.html (http://www.magicchristmas.org/monkhouse-jump.html)

Sorry to hear about your tree.
I hope your wife's surgery goes well and there are no complications while she recovers.
